Andy Weymann MD

Chief Executive Officer & Director of the Board

Andy is an orthopedic surgeon with 25 years of experience in global executive and board roles in medical device and regenerative medicine organizations. He holds a Masters in Human Medicine (University of Zurich), an MBA degree (Simon School of Business, University of Rochester) and has attended the board program at Harvard Business School. Andy was previously CMO of Smith+Nephew, Board Member of S+N Switzerland and other boards. He also led AO Education, including specifically AOSpine.

Cristin Taylor

Cristin Taylor

Senior Vice President Clinical and Medical Affairs

Cristin is a trained physiotherapist and licensed physician assistant with 10 years of clinical experience prior to moving to industry. She has worked at Smith and Nephew leading global clinical strategy and is presently leading clinical strategy for Beckman Coulter in the development of a machine learning algorithm for in-vitro diagnostics applications. Cristin has a Doctorate of Physical therapy (DPT) from the University of Miami, a MSHS from the George Washington University, and a BS from Boston University.


Michelle Lee

Senior Vice President Process and Compliance

Michelle has worked as a pharmaceutical professional in leading multi-national pharmaceutical and medical devices companies, as well as small/start-ups globally for the past 20 years. She brings extensive experience in product development, product transfer, manufacturing, process/system validation and supplier audit. Michelle graduated with a BSc. in Chemistry (with 2-year undergraduate research in Biochemistry granted by NIH) from The Ohio State University.


Nana Owusu

Nana Owusu-Koduah

Senior Vice President Quality Assurance

Over the last 15 years, Nana has worked for global pharmaceutical and contract research organisations. He has held roles in product development, quality control, quality assurance and production/operations. Nana holds a BSc in Pharmaceutical & Chemical Science from Liverpool John Moores University and an MBA degree from Bradford School of Management. He is also recognised as a Chartered Manager with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). He brings significant experience and expertise in operations and quality management.

Oliver Schofield

Chief Financial Officer

Oliver has raised investment for multiple biotech start-ups and previously worked in management consulting at KPMG, focusing on finance transformation with large pharma. Oliver has a MSc in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts.

Michael Fiore

Chairman

Michael has more than 37 years of experience in the Health Care Services, Technology and Medical Device Industry. He holds an MBA from Harvard University, an MSc in Accounting (NYU) and a BA in Economics and Anthropology (Amherst College). Mike is the Co-Founder and CEO of Vantage Oncology LLC. Mike is also Chairman of California Cryobank and Infusion Express, and serves as a Partner at Linden LLC, a healthcare private equity firm.

Sam Bakri MD

Vice Chairman

Sam is a serial healthcare entrepreneur and is notably Co-Founder and former CEO of Kind Consumer. He is Founder and Executive Chairman at biotech company Solascure. He has been involved in numerous ventures, and has a background in the pharmaceutical industry. He holds a medical degree from the University of London and an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Fulbright Scholar.

Paula Ness Speers

Non-Executive Director

Paula is a Board Member, Business Strategy advisor, and Entrepreneur with focus on healthcare, medtech and life sciences focus based in New England, US.​ She co-founded Health Advances over 25 years ago and is currently in part time capacity the Senior Advisor focused on strategies to evaluate and optimize the value of developmental and marketed products and services, business units and companies in the healthcare arena.​ Paula graduated from Dartmouth College with honors in International Government. She received her MBA from Columbia University, where she earned Beta Gamma Sigma honors and was an International Fellow.​

Brad Cannon

Non-Executive Director

Brad has been with Smith+Nephew since 2012 and is Global President of Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and ENT and Americas. Previously, he was President of the Europe and Canada businesses. ​Previously, he was in different leadership roles at Medtronic Spine. ​He is a graduate of Washington and Lee University, and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.​

Prof Tony Freemont

Co-Founder, Director

Tony is a Professor in Osteoarticular Pathology, Lead Pathologist and Deputy Director at Central Manchester University NHS Trust, NED at Christie NHS Trust, head of the Medical Education and School of Biomedicine at Manchester Medical School. Tony is the inventor of the DXM technology, academic co-founder and former Chairman of Gelmetix (previously Gelexir Healthcare).
